Summertime, and the Vendin' is Easy

We are almost one month into our summertime hours of 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. every Saturday until the end of the year. It's been hot, and we have probably all drank our weight in water, but it's been a great start so far. We've got some of the most talented people this city has to offer, and it's only just begun!

Our goal has always been, small business-driven and family-focused. Every week, I have seen families come for one reason and stay for another. . As I look out into the crowd, I see familiar faces making it a weekly habit of stopping by the market to see what treasures they can take home. I watch parents hold their little one's hand, as they walk up to Rocky and the band. Many times, those little hands find their way over to the tip jar and drop a bill in there, excited to be a part of something so much bigger than they are.

I see couples walking hand in hand, sharing a cool summer agua fresca they just bought. Sometimes, a beautiful painting or a piece of jewelry will catch their eye and they just have to stop and admire or purchase it.

Whatever the reason, I see people coming to our market and making it a part of their weekly plans. To sit and relax over a hot fresh meal from one of our delicious food vendors. Then taking a walk from one end of the market to the other, marveling at all the talented artisans and entrepreneurs we have.

Without you, constant customer, we could not exist. You are the reason we do this. When you purchase that dish, that bar of soap, those crystals, that painting, those plants, those custom t-shirts or handmade purses, you're putting food on our table. Your purchase helps validate our art or our product. You understand that handmade means something, that going into business for ourselves is important.

We thank you for your business, and for your support. Knowing that you decided to shop small, in a world where everything can come to your door at a moment's notice, makes a difference in our world.

Thank you constant customer.
